Support Measures for Québec’s Industrial Development Strategy
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife of Quebec (MRNF) implemented an industrial development strategy focusing on high value-added products. This strategy was developed in four parts, one which directly involves FPInnovations –Paprican Division: “Industry Modernization – Enhancing Key Sectors” in which FPInnovations coordinates and supports the pulp and paper and biorefinery sectors. This support is made through a number of measures and programs: “Assistance for Companies and Technical Studies in the Pulp and Paper and Bio-refining Sectors” as well as the “Technology Initiative Program”.
