About FPInnovations – Pulp and Paper
FPInnovations® – Pulp and Paper is a leading not-for-profit research and technology institute that provides valuable technology transfer and cost-competitive research addressing both the short-term and strategic needs of its Members. We have been in business for more than 80 years.
Our research programs are driven by the high-priority technical issues of the industry such as product quality and value, cost competitiveness, environment and sustainability. We also offer results-oriented services to our Members and partners as well as customers from various industries.
Internationally recognized for excellence, FPInnovations operates laboratories in Quebec and British Columbia, and is well positioned to offer services to the global pulp and paper industry.

Our education programs include postgraduate and continuing education to train and upgrade the skills of scientists and engineers for the pulp and paper industry. Our education and training programs are offered at FPInnovations – Pulp and Paper and also based at:
- McGill University
- University of British Columbia
- École Polytechnique
Our library and information services are available to Member Companies as well as to FPInnovations staff and their students. The FPInnovations – Pulp and Paper libraries comprise a unique specialized collection of technical information in pulp and paper.
