Trees are a remarkable resource, and the techniques that EvaluTree™ uses to determine wood quality can also be applied to other areas of research. We are open to partnering with researchers to explore new areas. Currently, our focus is on environmental climate change, bio–remediation, and wood/water interaction, but we welcome new ideas and areas to explore.
Environmental Climate ChangeEvaluTree™’s wood density network can support climate change studies through tree ring measurement and earlywood/latewood analysis. Our abilities in chemical mapping in wood can also support carbon studies and pollution studies. Working closely with the University of Victoria, EvaluTree™ is looking to facilitate research in this area.
Bio-RemediationTrees have become a tool for cleaning up pollution and contaminated sites, but where does the contamination go? We can help researchers examine this area using our chemical analysis tools.
Wood / Water InteractionWorking closely with the University of Northern British Columbia, EvaluTree™ is supporting efforts to understand wood / water interaction and its impact on the industry. |
