EvaluTree™ has identified a need for wood quality to become an automated part of the value chain. Traditional methods of identifying and determining wood quality are slow and as such cannot be used to control real-time events. In order to address these needs, EvaluTree™ develops new technology that allows our clients to manage wood quality in their organization.
Current Products
IR Moisture AnalyzerMembers of the EvaluTree™ team have helped develop an infrared moisture analyzer capable of measuring the moisture content of chips and hog fuel in real time on the conveyor. This product is currently undergoing several mill trials and our intention is to expand our knowledge to measure moisture in sludge and lime kilns. Tree Quality ProbeUsing our skills in infrared spectroscopy, our researchers have developed a portable probe, which is being applied to quantifying wood quality for various species and mountain pine beetle wood.
